The Dominicana Republic is located at the center
of the
Caribbean sea, between Cuba and Puerto Rico
Sharing Hispaniola Island with Haiti, the dominican side is roughly 52,000 sq/km
and is geographically very diverse. Both the highest point above sea level as
the lowest point below sea level in the Caribbean are in the Dominican Rep.

The Highest point is Pico Duarte towering 10,128 feet (3,087 meters) and the lowest
being Lake Enriquillo, an inland salt water lake puddling at 48 mt below sea level.
